Quantcast The Sandspur

Letter to the Editor

The Editorial Board extends an invitation to our readers to submit letters and articles. In order for a submission to be considered for publication, it must include the name (published) and contact information (not published) of the author.

Letters to the editor should remain under 500 words. Editorials and other articles should be 400-800 words depending on the type of article. (Features are typically longer than hard news pieces.)

In considering a submission for publication, The Sandspur reserves the right to edit letters and articles with every effort to preserve the original meaning of the piece. We do not, however, assign copy editors to proofread all submissions, so please edit your piece carefully before sending it.

By submitting an article via the website or e-mail, you indicate that you have intellectual property ownership of the content, and you are not under a contract of exclusivity with any other publishing outlet. The Sandspur is not responsible for breaches of contract or copyright infringement caused by the submission of an article or letter. While you shall retain intellectual property ownership of the content, you authorize The Sandspur to edit and publish your work as its editors see fit. Non-commissioned articles and letters will not be compensated.

Thank you for your readership! We look forward to receiving your contributions and feedback.
