The last four years have seen record job loss across the country. John Kerry's plan will help bolster America's economy. Kerry will close the tax loophole that gives a tax credit to companies that ship jobs overseas. He will replace that with a tax initiative for companies that keep jobs in America. Additionally John Kerry, like Bill Clinton before him, is focused on returning the nation to fiscal responsibility. Some people shrug and say that a deficit doesn't matter. Try writing a check for a thousand dollars with a hundred dollars in the bank and then tell the bank deficit spending is okay. The truth is the money for deficit spending has to come from somewhere. If we don't start paying down the deficit future generations will be left with an enormous burden. That isn't fair, we have to fix this problem and John Kerry has a plan to fix it.
Every year more and more people are losing their healthcare. Those that still have it are forced to deal with insane and continuingly increasing premiums. This has to be stopped! John Kerry vows to offer the average American healthcare equal to that of a senators. If we could lower the price of medications we could lower the cost of healthcare, obviously. One of the easiest ways to do this is to allow the importation of drugs from Canada. This is something Senator Kerry has fought strongly for and will make a reality as president. Additionally, Senator Kerry supports stem cell research. Many scientists believe stem cell research could lead to breakthroughs in curing AIDS, Cancers, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and paralysis. We, as a nation, cannot afford to deny the possibilities of this science-too many people are dying.
For those worried about terrorism, Senator Kerry will follow the advice of the 911 Commission. He will secure our ports, which are currently an open target he has vowed to pursue Osama Bin Laden until he is dead or behind bars.
Senator Kerry realizes that Iraq was a mistake. We should not have invaded Iraq. To paraphrase what George H. W. Bush wrote, we didn't invade Iraq because we could not find a viable exit plan. John Kerry's stance is one that agrees with H.W. Bush; he knows we shouldn't have gone into Iraq. He also knows that, in light of what we've started there, we cannot just walk away. Senator Kerry intends to lower American involvement in Iraq by bringing in global support for the peace keeping and re-building effort. This will lessen the burden on American taxpayers and the number of American lives being lost to rebuild a nation.
Taxes loom large in this election. As John Kerry as repeatedly stated, he will not raise taxes on average Americans. The only increase Kerry proposes is a repeal of the tax cut for the wealthiest Americans. Kerry will put the tax burden on the backs of those who can carry it and help those who are suffering in a weak economy.
The choice is clear: John Kerry for a stronger America.
