There have always been many home remedies using a variety of household products to cure an even wider variety of ailments or problems. Coca-Cola seems to have surfaced as a great contributor on the home front for many people. In this article I will share with you some of the more interesting ways that people have found to use our beloved coke product. If this doesn't make you think twice about how much soda you take in every day then I don't know what will.

To clean your dorm's toilet bowl: Pour a can of Coca-Cola into the bowl. Let the "real thing" sit for at least one hour, then flush clean. The citric acid in Coke removes stains from many kinds of china.

To make your grass greener: Spray Coca-Cola on your grass once a month for super green grass which remains greener than other lawns throughout the fall and winter months. It's supposed to work wonders! Also, for green grass and protection from bugs combine one can of coke, one cup of ammonia and 1/4 cup of dish soap. Spray on grass once a month.

To get rid of some disturbing rumbles in your tummy: No problem! In many instances if one drinks a glass of flat coke once an hour those problems will go away in a jiffy! Doctors in third world countries often prescribe this to visitors having problems adjusting to the diet and/or lack of sanitation.

To get a tan: Have fair skin? Some say that applying coke to that pasty skin instead of tanning cream will do the trick without any problems. Of course I don't know that many of you would bask (in Coke) by the side of our wonderful pool, things might get a little sticky.

To help with the common cold: Take some fresh ginger and put it in a pot with a can of Coca Cola. Let it come to a boil and then cook on a low heat for a few minutes. Drink while warm. It will ease your cold symptoms!

I tried the first and last ideas for using Coca-Cola and I can vouch for their truth value. But it seems to hold true amongst all of the studies I have found that Coca-Cola can make the grass on your side a little bit greener. But do you want to ingest that stuff everyday?
