Rollins' women's soccer is undefeated in Sunshine State Conference play after back to back wins against Palm Beach Atlantic and conference opponent Saint Leo.
The Tars battled through a tough game on Saturday the twenty-third, where forward Lindsay Giblin scored a hat trick to give the Tars their 3-2 victory. Despite drawing first blood with an unassisted goal by Giblin, Rollins went down 2-1 by the end of the second half. Then, Giblin, assisted by Jennifer Dyer, tied the game early in the second half and seven minutes later capitalized on momentum and to score her second unassisted goal of the game.
The Tars defense, led by Lindsay Taylor and Danielle Martin, was able to hold off their opponents for the rest of the game.
The Tars exceptional defense would also factor heavily in their win against Saint Leo on September 26. Even though Saint Leo's had more shots on goal than Rollins they could not break through the defense, and goalkeeper Stephanie Woelfel put up her third shut-out of the year. Rollins offense also came through for the win, with Melissa Saint James finishing a rebound off Lindsay Giblin's free kick to score the only goal of the game.
