Career and Internship Expo Recap

Students went to the Alfond Sports Center on Wednesday, Sept. 30, for the Fall 2026 Career & Internship Expo, where around 50 employers set up tables to meet Rollins students from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. The atmosphere was welcoming throughout the afternoon. Employers were attentive and friendly, and students engaged with multiple employers as they walked around.

Organizations in attendance included Blue and Gold Partners—key corporate sponsors and regional employers that collaborate with the college’s Center for Career and Life Planning (CCLP)—such as The Alfond Inn, RedChip Companies Inc., Travel + Leisure Co. Visit Orlando, and others.

Career expos give students a chance to network with multiple employers, explore career paths, and potentially land an internship or a job. Additionally, having introductions and conversations with professionals builds confidence and allows students to gain knowledge about necessary skills for the workforce. A good impression can lead to a follow-up email, an interview, and an internship, in the best-case scenario.

The event was open for all students regardless of class year, something peer mentor Lillian Duong (‘27), said she appreciated. “I love the amount of opportunities that there are for incoming students, freshmen, just every grade,” she said. “It’s such a fantastic way to get connected with the outside world.”
