Rollins College students participate in an alternative spring break Immersion trip to Tampa, FL. How do we feed 7 billion people without destroying the earth? The trip “Food: It’s What We Eat!” explores life as a small, organic farmer versus life in large, industrial facilities. Students examine the socioeconomic obstacles to accessing quality food as they cultivate their inner gardners, chefs, and adventurers and try to tackle one of today’s most critical social and environmental issues.
