The 2023 College of Liberal Arts Commencement will take place on Sunday, May 14 at 10 a.m. The ceremony will be located in the Warden Arena, within the Harold and Ted Alfond Sports Center. As stated on the Rollins College website, each graduating student will receive four tickets for guests.

For those looking to book a place to stay in advance, the college has provided a recommendation of 22 nearby hotels for family or guests, the closest being Rollins’s own boutique hotel—The Alfond Inn.

All three graduation ceremonies—the College of Liberal Arts, The Hamilton Holt School, and Holt Master of Arts—are live-streamed; links are going to be located on the commencement website, and videos of all the pomp and circumstance will be posted for viewing following the event. Becky Hopkins, Executive Assistant at the Office of Communications and External Relations, shares, “We will also have special headphones for a live Spanish translation of the ceremony for any family member attending any commencement ceremony.”

Hopkins added, “Students can order their graduation announcement from www.jostens.com. Rollins has contracted with GradImages to take photographs of the graduates during the commencement ceremony. The company will contact the graduates regarding purchasing the photographs after the ceremony.”

Students, family, and friends are also welcome to the “Baccalaureate/Seniorwish” event, which showcases music, dance, and a spiritual celebration of the ‘23 Seniors.

This year, Baccalaureate is being hosted by The Office of Religious & Spiritual Life and the Office of Alumni Engagement at Knowles Memorial Chapel on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 4 p.m.

Another approaching date is The Grad Finale event, which is tentatively scheduled for Feb. 21-23 from 11 a.m. -2 p.m. in the Rollins Bookstore parking lot, according to store manager Mary Vitelli. CLA students can buy all of their regalia, including the set-cap, gown, custom zipper pull, and hat and tassel with custom drop at this event, and information must be filled out in person. Some latecomers have been granted up until Feb. 25 to make their purchase. For CLA students, the graduation regalia amounts to $76.00.

As information about the graduation rolls in, the commencement website will continue to be updated. To discover more, visit https://www.rollins.edu/commencement/.
