Housing Selection to Feature East End Neighborhood

Graphic by Sarah Ogden.

The Housing Selection process opened on March 4, and returning students will be able to request and select their hall for the next year until March 26 at 10:00 a.m. This application will open and close periodically, so it is crucial that students keep in mind these dates:

Housing Selection Dates

  • 1-Person Selection Day (Single): March 27
  • 2-Person Selection Day (double/two-person apartment): March 31
  • 4-Person Selection Day (Lakeside Apartments, Sutton Apartments): April 3
  • 3-Person Selection Day (East End Neighborhood): April 7
  • General Housing Selection (all remaining rooms): April 10

East End Neighborhood will open in Fall 2026. Rollins’ newest residence hall will house over 250 students and will have up to seven varying room types. It will be available for any upperclassmen, including sophomores. For students who did not do the returning student app, it opens back up on April 13 at 12:00 p.m. and students who complete it then will be assigned a living space based on current availability after housing selection. Students who have not yet applied for housing and need to apply will be assigned housing by ResLife.

The seven types of rooms include:

  • The East End Single – a true single, meaning it is only a single room and a private bathroom.
  • The East End Two-Person Suite- has two single rooms that share a bathroom.
  • The East End One-Person Studio – a single room with a bathroom as well as a kitchenette.
  • The East End Three-Person Suite – one double and one single. All residents share a bathroom.
  • The East End Two-Person Studio – two singles, one shared bathroom, a living room space, and a kitchenette.
  • The East End Two Person Apartment – two singles, one bathroom, a kitchenette but does not have a living space.
  • The East End Three-Person Apartment – one double room, a single room, a living space, and a kitchenette.

ResLife recommends returning students look to the Returning Student Housing Booklet for additional, more in-depth information regarding housing, including photos/renderings of the new suites and apartments. It is also important to note that when applying for residency, it is wise to have the number of people you want to live with ahead of time.

Students looking to apply for housing in East End should know that there are no in-house laundry units, and only a select few rooms have a kitchenette. For the upcoming semester, triples and rooms that house five students will no longer be an option.

Additionally, other changes will be made: Cornell Café (Tarpotle) is moving into the East End Neighborhood, and a new cafe will also be opening. Campus Safety will also be housed in East End beginning the new semester.

Lastly, Residence Life is holding two more roommate socials on March 26 from 12:00-1:00 p.m. and April 1 from 5:00-6:00 p.m. These socials are for students seeking roommates for the coming semester.  For further questions, updates, or support, you can contact Crystal Romero, Associate Director of Housing Operations, at CROMERO@rollins.edu or by phone (407) 646-2649.
