Rewoven and Art Museum Collaborate for Exhibition

On Oct. 1, from 5:30-6:30 p.m., the Rollins Museum of Art Student Council collaborated with Rewoven at the Rollins Museum of Art (RMA) to explore the newest artworks on display in a way that has not been done before. It brought traction to the gallery and highlighted the two new exhibits at the museum, “Visions of the City” and “To Imagine a Home,” while allowing for additional creativity from patrons to be let loose.

Participants of the event were guided through the museum and shown various pieces around the gallery. Then, they were instructed to write creative pieces based on the artwork that inspired them. Visitors could choose to write freely or write using prompts provided by the event. President of the Rollins Museum of Art Student Council Ana Ortega (‘27) said, “It’s mostly about wanting to bring more people into the galleries and excited about the RMA and using a different form of creative expression as an easier way to facilitate that.”

“In collaborating with Rewoven, we want to highlight that enjoying the galleries and creative writing is for everyone, and it can be a different way to engage with art and flex some creative skills,” said Ortega.

Rewoven and the Rollins Museum of Art Student Council encourage submissions through their link in their Instagram bio, both from people who attended the workshop and those simply looking to share their creativity. The Rollins Museum of Art’s newest exhibits opened on Sept. 4, 2026, and will continue to be displayed through Jan. 3, 2027.
