Rollins Tuition Rises Again in 2025-26, Increasing Financial Concerns for Students

As costs in higher learning continue to rise, many families are struggling to keep up. Rollins College’s newest update to tuition fees underscores the financial challenges students face — even as the college encourages eligible families to apply for aid.

For the 2025–26 year, Rollins College tuition will increase to $62,950, bringing the total on-campus cost of attendance — including books, food, and housing — to $84,870. For commuting students who plan to live at home, the total cost is about $71,300.

The increase continues a trend of steady growth. Tuition in 2024-25 was $60,580; in 2023-24 it was $58,300. In the past decade, Rollins College tuition has increased by more than 30 percent.

Impact on Student Body: More Worry, Bigger Costs

For many families, higher tuition means added financial strain. Although some can adjust, many students remain worried about how the increase may affect their ability to stay enrolled in the future.

In general, Rollins’ repeated tuition increases have caused frustration among students. A 2024 article in The Sandspur noted that many students worry rising costs can diminish the impact of scholarships and make the college feel increasingly out of reach for those without substantial financial support.

Rollins Safety Net: Flexibility and Financial Aid

In response to student concerns, Rollins says it is committed to helping families manage rising costs. Associate Vice President and Director of Financial Aid Steve Booker acknowledged that tuition increases “can be challenging” and encouraged students to meet with the financial aid office to review their options.

Booker also reminded students to complete the 2025-26 FAFSA by Jan. 15, 2026, noting that financial aid offers will begin going out at the end of January.

According to Rollins, about 94 percent of students receive some form of financial aid, and the college awards more than $100 million annually in scholarships and grants that can significantly reduce the final cost for eligible families.

The Trend of Tuition

The tuition increase at Rollins College reflects a national pattern among private colleges, where costs have risen steadily over the past decade. Undergraduate tuition at Rollins has increased more than 35 percent since 2015, alongside increases in overall cost of attendance.

What Students Can Do

Students concerned about rising tuition are encouraged to:

  • Complete the 2026-27 FAFSA before the Jan. 15 deadline.
  • Schedule an appointment with financial aid to discuss individual eligibility and aid packages.

The Bottom Line

While the change may feel daunting, Rollins emphasizes that many students pay significantly less once financial aid is applied. Booker urged students to contact the financial aid office early to ensure they understand their options.
