Every week The Sandsbear will travel to a different branch of student media so you can learn more about what they do and see the Sandsbear in action. The Sandsbear is the mascot of The Sandspur, so it only makes sense to start here. Founded in 1894, The Sandspur is Rollins’ newspaper and the oldest college newspaper in Florida. Available in print and online, it covers everything from student life and campus issues to local Winter Park news and global stories.
The Sandsbear can usually be found in the Media Room, where The Sandspur staff meet every Tuesday at 12:30, and all students are welcome to join.
