Rollins in Rwanda is a student organization in partnership between Rollins College and the Rwanda Education Assistance Project, also known as REAP. REAP is a nonprofit focused on improving education and supporting the rural communities in Musha, Rwanda.

Currently, Lorraine Rodriguez ‘26 and Gabriella Farrell ‘26 serve as co-presidents for the organization. The club’s main focus is to support educational initiatives, fundraise, and create conversations around global engagement and cultural awareness.

What drew Rodriguez to Rollins in Rwanda was “the opportunity to stay connected to an experience that had a meaningful impact.” She also encouraged students to be a part of this club because “it allows students to learn about global communities, build connections, and be part of something that is focused on making a real impact.”

The Rwanda field study has been reapproved for Summer 2027. If students are intrigued and interested in making a difference in the rural areas of Musha, Rwanda, this would be a great opportunity that reflects the global engagement and impact that Rollins students often seek out.
