Rollins Ranked Among “Best National Liberal Arts Colleges”

As of Sept. 22nd, 2027, Rollins College has been added to the U.S. News & World Report’s “Best National Liberal Arts Colleges” ranking list. Since 1997, Rollins has taken up one of the top two spots on the Regional Universities South list, but now the school is considered among the entire country.

The U.S. News & World Report bases these rankings on 17 different categories with each holding different weights and criteria. Some of the most crucial categories when considering placement are graduation rates, peer assessment, and graduation rate performance. It is with these factors in mind that Rollins has ranked No. 74 on the list out of more than 400 colleges taken into consideration. While Rollins’ students and staff have worn the No. 1 regional ranking with pride, this step up to the national level is a well-deserved acknowledgement that the college is honored to uphold.

Rollins has also been ranked as the No. 1 Best Colleges for Veterans (National Liberal Arts Colleges). This award is given to colleges that “participate in federal initiatives helping veterans and active-duty service members pay for their degrees.” Other national categories Rollins ranked in include as No. 70 in National Private Liberal Arts Colleges as well as No. 91 in Best Value Schools (National Liberal Arts Colleges).

Rollins’ 16th President Brooke Barnett issued a statement shortly before rankings were released expressing the sentiment about what this award means for the reputation of the school. While describing that being nationally recognized as one of the best colleges of liberal arts has been a long-standing belief among the college itself, the ranking will also “reinforce what a Rollins degree has always represented: an education that stands with the very best in the nation, not just the region,” according to President Barnett. This type of recognition will allow Rollins to continue to recruit exceptional students not only from the South, but across the country and globe.
