The Rollins Men’s Soccer team faced off against Nova Southeastern in the quarterfinals of the Men’s SSC Championship, winning 2-1.

Starting three minutes into the game, Nova Southeastern struck first with an early goal.
Working the rest of the first half to tie the game up, the Tars found themselves successful with a goal off of a free kick from graduate student Pablo Herrero in the 44th minute.
The game remained tied as Kilian Vallant (‘27) stopped three shots in the second half, and it went into overtime.
Five minutes into the first overtime period, Rollins scored a goal by graduate student Zico Groenveld, who was assisted by Finlay Prain (‘28).
The Tars won in overtime 2-1 and outshot Nova Southeastern 16-10. With this win, the Tars advanced to the SSC Semifinals on Nov. 13, and their record improved to 9-3-5 overall.
In the SSC Semifinals, the Rollins Tars defeated Palm Beach Atlantic University, winning 2-1.
Palm Beach Atlantic opened the scoring in the 35th minute and held a 1-0 lead through halftime.
After halftime, Hayden Judge (‘26) headed in a corner kick from Kaden Foreman (‘26), tying the game 1-1.
Nine minutes later, the Tars found themselves in the lead with a goal by Groenveld, assisted by redshirt freshman Justin Nelson (‘28).
Rollins outshot Palm Beach Atlantic 14–11. The match was physical, with 29 fouls called and five yellow cards shown. This match was also the third time in 2025 that Rollins defeated a Top 6 nationally ranked team.
With this win, Rollins improved to 10–3–5 overall. They advanced to the SSC Championships on Nov. 16, where they competed against Lynn University and lost 6-1.
The Tars ended their season 10-4-5 with Judge, Foreman, Nelson, and Yousef Shakweer (‘27) earning All-SSC Honors.
