SGA welcomes students to campus

By Peyton Poitras

Welcome back to another exciting academic year filled with opportunities, growth, and achievements! On behalf of Student Government, we are thrilled to extend a warm welcome to both returning and new members of our campus community.

This year, our commitment to unity, diversity, and inclusivity remains stronger than ever. We plan to continue to foster an environment where every voice is heard, valued, and respected. To do this, we are hoping to partner with the many facets of the Rollins community. Covid paused the way we made connections both on and off campus, and we hope to find ways to bring the campus community together.

Our team has been hard at work over the summer, planning projects aimed at enhancing our college experience. We have got an exciting year ahead. But, of course, none of this is possible without your involvement and enthusiasm.

What we need of you this year is to show up. Attend events and bring your friends. The Rollins community and our positions simply would not exist without the students, so you all continue to be our top priority this year.

Let’s challenge ourselves to embrace growth, expand our horizons, and create lasting memories together. As your representatives we are here to listen to your needs, amplify your voices, and champion your aspirations.

Feel free to contact any member of our team with your thoughts, suggestions, or concerns. You can reach us at sga@rollins.edu! We love to hear what the students want to see and do on campus.  Rollins will be your home for four years, so it only makes sense to create a space in which you want to be in.

If you would like to join in our efforts this year, we will be hosting an open house on Wednesday, August 23 at 7 pm in Galloway Room in Kathleen W. Rollins. Come out and see what we have to offer.

Once again, welcome back! Here’s to an extraordinary year of shared accomplishments, personal development, and the continued pursuit of excellence. Together, we will make this academic year truly remarkable.

With great anticipation,
